Crimes cometidos por mulheres brasileiras: uma análise sobre enunciados de gênero / Crimes committed by Brazilian women: an analysis of gender statements

RESUMO

Notícias relatando a participação de mulheres em crimes tornam-se cada vez mais comuns na mídia brasileira. Atento a isso, este artigo analisa enunciados que se produziram nas entrelinhas de discursos presentes em reportagem veiculada no ano de 1995 no Brasil. Tal análise encontrou aporte principal no campo dos estudos de gênero, mais especificamente em autores que fazem uma análise crítica sobre as noções identitárias de gênero. A metodologia utilizada foi à análise documental, recorrendo a problematização dos enunciados presentes em uma reportagem publicada na revista Veja. Como resultado, constatou-se um relato estereotipado das mulheres envolvidas em situações de crimes, as quais são comumente caracterizadas na mídia a partir de noções de vitimização, infantilização, paixão, desequilíbrio e anormalidade. Ao final do percurso de investigação, fica evidente a importância de problematizar a noção de gênero a fim de evitar uma leitura simplista que reproduz avaliações morais e conservadoras dos modos de existência.(AU)

ABSTRACT

News reporting on the participation of women in crimes become increasingly common in the Brazilian media. Attention to this, this article analyzes statements that took place between the lines of discourses present in the article published in the year 1995 in Brazil. This analysis found a main contribution in the field of gender studies, more specifically in authors who make a critical analysis on the notions of gender identities. The methodology used was the documentary analysis, resorting to the problematization of the statements present in a report published in Veja magazine. As a result, a stereotyped account of women involved in crime situations has been found, which are commonly characterized in the media from notions of victimization, infantilization, passion, imbalance and abnormality. At the end of the course of research, the importance of problematizing the notion of gender is evident in order to avoid a simplistic reading that reproduces moral and conservative evaluations of the modes of existence.
