Pesquisa documental sobre o Hospital Psiquiátrico Espírita Cairbar Schutel / Documentary research of the Spiritist Psychiatric Hospital Cairbar Schutel

RESUMO

A desospitalização aparece como um importante movimento paradigmático em saúde mental no Brasil que ainda vivencia um processo de Reforma Psiquiátrica. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo central realizar um levantamento documental sobre o Hospital Psiquiátrico Espírita Cairbar Schutel, na Biblioteca Municipal e Arquivo Municipal de Araraquara. Buscou-se identificar, com isso, quais discursos foram produzidos sobre a instituição em uma perspectiva Construcionista Social. A partir da epistemologia da análise crítica do discurso foi possível construir dois temas centrais para análise temática Cairbar e a marca religiosa na loucura e Cairbar na historicidade política. A identificação desses dois temas possibilitou analisar os documentos encontrados e relacioná-los às transformações de assistência à saúde mental, mediadas pela Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira, compreendendo a historicidade e a visão de loucura ligada ao discurso religioso.(AU)

ABSTRACT

The deinstitutionalization appears as an important paradigmatic movement in the mental health field in Brazil, which is still experiencing the process of a Psychiatric Reform. On these terms, this research aimed to conduct a documentary survey of the Spiritist Psychiatric Hospital Cairbar Schutel, at the Municipal Library and Municipal Archives of Araraquara. We sought to identify which speeches were produced concerning the institution in a Social Constructionism perspective. Based on the epistemology of critical discourse analysis, it was possible to build two central themes for the thematic analysis: Cairbar and the religious mark concerning madness and Cairbar in politics historicity. The identification of these two themes enabled an analysis of the documents found relating them to the changes in the mental health support system, mediated by the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform, comprising the historicity and the vision of madness linked to a religious discourse.(AU)
