Negligencia del padre: ¿una práctica que puede llevar al embarazo adolescente? / Father's negligence: a practice that can lead to adolescent pregnancy

RESUMEN

La investigación indagó cómo la negligencia emocional paterna puede convertirse en una práctica que favorece el embarazo adolescente, mediante el análisis hermenéutico de narrativas en un grupo de 30 madres adolescentes de la ciudad de Bogotá-Colombia, cuya edad al momento del nacimiento del primer hijo era entre los 12 a los 19 años y de quienes se sabía tenían padre negligente. Se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad apoyadas con preguntas previamente estructuradas por otros autores. Los significados de la negligencia del padre en las madres adolescentes evidenciaron que el descuido en actividades de afecto, acompañamiento, apoyo, juego, lectura, ayuda con las tareas, instauración de límites, educación para la sexualidad, suministro de alimentos, vestido, refugio y atención médica, pueden llevar al embarazo no planeado en las hijas adolescentes. El presente estudio invita a la implementación de programas educativos para los padres, a fin de prevenir el comportamiento negligente, e instiga a fortalecer el acompañamiento psicosocial a las madres adolescentes, orientando sobre el valor de la maternidad

ABSTRACT

This paper investigated how paternal emotional negligence can become a practice that favors adolescent pregnancy, through the hermeneutical analysis of narratives in a group of 30 adolescent mothers of the city of Bogota-Colombia, whose age at the time of the birth of the first child was from 12 to 19 years old and who were known to have negligence parents. In-depth interviews were supported with questions previously structured by other authors. The meanings of father negligence in adolescent mothers showed that neglect in affection, accompaniment, supporting, playing, reading, homework assistance, setting limits, sexuality education, food supply, dressing, shelter, and care can lead to unplanned pregnancy in teenage daughters. The present study invites the implementation of educational programs for parents in order to prevent negligent behavior and instigates to strengthen the psychosocial accompaniment to adolescent mothers, orienting on the value of motherhood. © Universidad Católica Luis Amigó - Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Sociales
