A construção mutual de discursos intolerantes: ateus, agnósticos e religiosos / The mutual construction of intolerant speeches: atheists, agnostics and religious

RESUMO

Apesar das previsões iluministas de que o avanço científico levaria ao declínio das práticas religiosas, o que se vê na atualidade é a reafirmação da religiosidade. Por outro lado, há um movimento crescente de secularização, o que pode ser observado no Brasil pelo aumento daqueles que se declaram "sem religião", entre eles os ateus e agnósticos. Nesse contexto, observa-se o discurso de intolerância que circula dos religiosos em direção aos ateus e agnósticos e vice-versa, e que se reflete no atual cenário político, econômico, social e cultural. A presente pesquisa buscou compreender, por meio da metodologia de Grupos Focais, como se dá a formação desses grupos, como se configura o processo de intolerância e como se constrói o sujeito intolerante, tendo por referencial teórico a psicanálise. Foram realizados dois encontros, separadamente, com um grupo de participantes que se declaravam ateus ou agnósticos e participantes que se declaravam religiosos, independentemente da crença. A pesquisadora sugeriu variados eixos temáticos para serem discutidos, o conteúdo foi transcrito e analisado por meio da técnica de análise temática, que possibilitou a identificação da intolerância e a discussão teórica fundamentada na psicanálise e em seu diálogo com a cultura.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Despite the Enlightenment forecasts that scientific progress would lead to a decline in religious practice, we see that religiosity has been reaffirmed nowadays. On the other hand, there is a growing movement of secularization, which can be observed in Brazil by increase in those who declare themselves "without any religion", including atheists and agnostics. In this context, we could notice the intolerance of religious discourse that circulates towards atheists and agnostics and the contrary as well. These conflicts reflect in the current political, economic, social and cultural scenes. This research aimed to understand, through the Focal Groups Methodology, how these groups form, the arrangement of the intolerance process and the construction of the intolerant person by using the theoretical framework of psychoanalysis. Two meetings were proposed separately by the researcher with a group of participants who declared themselves atheists or agnostics and participants who declared themselves religious, regardless of belief. The researcher suggested various themes to be discussed. The content was transcribed and analyzed, using the thematic analysis technique, which enabled the identification of intolerance and the theoretical discussion based on Psychoanalysis and its dialogue with culture.(AU)
