A morte, a vida e os fenômenos de massa / Death, life and the mass phenomena

RESUMO

A proposta do artigo é analisar os diversos fenômenos de massa contemporâneos, visando problematizar o ponto de vista que destaca somente o papel de Eros (vida) na formação dos laços sociais. Tal ponto de vista, representado pela obra "O tempo das tribos" de Maffesoli, conduz à conclusão de que, nestas massas, há a construção de laços harmônicos entre semelhantes que se unem uns aos outros por empatia e ideais de comunhão. Para efetuarmos tal problematização, nos voltamos a alguns escritos de Freud que destacam que por detrás de todos os laços sociais, há um conflito entre Eros e Thanatos (morte) e também a alguns ensaios de Benjamin que valorizam o papel da morte na formação dos laços sociais. Assim, a morte será lida como uma tendência destrutiva, libertadora e criativa, que rompe com tudo o que se encontra constituído, para que algo de novo possa surgir.(AU)

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the paper is to analyze the various contemporary mass phenomena aimed to questioning the view that only highlights the role of Eros (life) in the formation of social links. This view, represented by the work "The time of the tribes" from Maffesoli, leads to the conclusion that these masses, there is the construction of harmonious links between similars that join each other for empathy and fellowship's ideals. To effectuate such questioning, we turn to some writings of Freud highlighting that behind all social links, there is a conflict between Eros and Thanatos (death) and also some Benjamin's writtings that value the role of the death in the formation of social links. Thus death will be read as a destructive, liberating and creative force, that breaks everything is made so that something new can emerge.(AU)
