Desafios da formação interdisciplinar / Challenges of interdisciplinary education

RESUMO

Abordar o tema da Formação Interdisciplinar, envolvendo as diversas áreas disciplinares específicas, é sempre um desafio. Mas, realizar os estudos teóricos, a prática docente e a pesquisa, mantendo uma atitude interdisciplinar, é um desafio ainda maior. O termo interdisciplinaridade tem sido muito utilizado teoricamente, e também nomeando diferentes práticas, especialmente a partir dos anos 1970 no Brasil. A nosso ver, a utilização sem critérios claros deste termo, e suas aplicações, trouxe um desgaste de seu sentido. Verificamos que, em muitos casos, a Interdisciplinaridade é vista com certa desconfiança, quando aparece como "solução para todos os problemas" ou, se os objetivos não são claros, o termo surge como um "manto mágico" encobrindo as dificuldades, falhas ou incoerências teóricas e práticas. Neste artigo indagamos: O que é Interdisciplinaridade? - seus objetivos, seus princípios, suas características culturais; - Quais as possibilidades que aponta, no encontro entre teorias e práticas, com ética e critérios bem estabelecidos, envolvendo diferentes áreas disciplinares? A resposta a estas questões pressupõe uma atitude, simultaneamente, de respeito e abertura ante a diversidade e ambigüidade de seres-saberesfazeres, buscando construir uma rede de ações mais integradas e íntegras, nas e entre as diferentes áreas do saber, abordando aqui as interdisciplinas da área gerontológica. A Interdisciplinaridade pressupõe um espaço de encontro entre humanos, e nosso objetivo é mostrar as possibilidades do encontro interdisciplinar, apontado para a construção de saberes religados, criativos e renovadores entre diferentes disciplinas e suas práticas, e que se integram na formação psicogerontológica.

ABSTRACT

Addressing the topic of Interdisciplinary Education, involving the diverse areas of specific subjects, is always a challenge. But, carrying out theoretical studies, the teaching practice and research, maintaining an interdisciplinary attitude, is an even greater challenge. The term interdisciplinarity has been greatly used theoretically; even to name different practices, especially since the 1970s in Brazil. In our opinion, use of this term and its applications without clear criteria has resulted in wear and tear of its meaning. In many cases, we have observed that interdisciplinarity is viewed with certain distrust, when it appears as the "solution to all problems", or, if objectives are not clear, the term emerges as a "magical cloak", covering up the difficulties, failures or theoretical and practical incoherencies. In this paper, we ask? What is Interdisciplinarity? - Its objectives, its principles, its cultural characteristics; - What possibilities does it indicate, in this meeting between theories and practice, with well-established ethics and criteria, involving the different subject areas? The answer to these questions presupposes a simultaneous attitude of respect and opening in face of the diversity and ambiguity of beings-knowledge-doing, seeking to construct a network of more integrated and integral actions in and between the different areas of knowledge, and here addressing the interdisciplinarity in gerontology. Interdisciplinarity presupposes a meeting space among humans, and our objective is to show the possibilities of the interdisciplinary meeting, indicated for constructing reconnected, creative and renewing knowledge among different disciplines and their practices, and which are part of psychogerontological education.
