Grupos operativos: uma estratégia para assistência de enfermagem em uma unidade hospitalar de referência em câncer de mama

RESUMO

Este estudo trata da inserção do enfermeiro na prática educativa de grupos com clientela oncológica, considerando o trabalho de grupo sob o olhar de estratégia. A visão de estratégia é voltada para a assistëncia de enfermagem e a terminologia de grupo utilizada é a de grupo operativo. Teve como objetivos: discutir a participação do enfermeiro nos grupos operativos com clientela portadora de câncer de mama e analisar a repercussão desta atividade na assistência de enfermagem. Este estudo é e natureza qualitativa do tipo estudo de caso. Os sujeitos foram enfermeiras que atuam na Unidade III do Instituto Nacional de Câncer. A base teórica utilizada constitui-se de conceitos baseados no método de conscientização Paulo Freire, num paralelo com o autocuidado de Dorothea Orem. Foram criadas duas categorias Grupos operativos terapêuticos conhecendo sua prática; nesta foram elaboradas duas sub-categorias Subsídios para formação e implementação dos grupos; Participação do enfermeiro nos grupos e seu cotidiano de trabalho, as quais possibilitaram descrever a inserção do enfermeiro nesta prática e mostrar a necessidade de conhecimentos científicos para o adequado funcionamento de grupos dirigido a qualquer profissional da saúde que exerça esta atividade. A segunda categoria O grupo operativo enquanto estratégia para a assistência de enfermagem, trouxe aspectos referentes à efetivação desta relação de estratégia pela adesão do cliente ao tratamento, além de autocuidado e conscientização do papel do acompanhante. O estudo constatou que os grupos operativos são uma alternativa viável para enfermeiros na escolha de estratégias em diversos âmbitos e reforçou sua importância através da visão de estratégia para a assistência de enfermagem.

ABSTRACT

This study treats of the nurse in the educative practice of the groups with oncology clientele, considering the group work under the strategy glance The strategy glance is addressed to the nursing assistance and the group terminology used is the one ofthe operative group It had as objectives: discuss the nurse' s participation on the operative groups with clientele who has breast cancer and analyze the repercussion of this activity on the nursing assistance. This study is of qualitative nature of case study type. The subjects were nurses who work at the III Unit ofthe National Cancer Institute. The theoretical base was constituted of concepts based on Paulo Freire 's developing aware method, on parallel to the Dorothea Orem 's self care. There were created two categories Therapeutic operative group knowing its practice; in this one there were elaborated two under categories Subsidies for the groups formation and implementation; Nurse 's participation in the groups and his work daily, which made possible to describe the nurse' s insertion in this practice and show the need of scientific knowledge for the adequate groups functioning addressed to any health professional who perforrns this activity . The second category The operative group as strategy for the nursing assistance, brought aspects referents to the realization of this strategy relation by the client 's adhesion to the treatrnent, beyond the self care and the developing aware of the accompanist role. The study showed up that the operative groups are an feasible altemative for the nurses at the choice of strategies in several fields of action and reinforced their importance through the strategy glance for the nursing assistance.
