O ser portador de um cateter venoso central: a percepção do cliente e a contribuição da enfermagem / The being with a central venous catheter: the client's perception and the nursing contribution

RESUMO

Este estudo trata do interesse em apreender a percepção que o cliente oncológico possui em relação a presença de um cateter venoso central em seu corpo. Os objetivos do trabalho foram l) Identificar a percepção do cliente frente a sua experiência em conviver com um cateter venoso central em seu corpo; 2) Analisar a percepção do cliente manifesta na experiência de ser portador de cateter venoso central em seu corpo; 3) Contribuir para a prática de enfermagem a partir das percepções observadas. Para a realização do estudo, cujo objeto foi a percepção do cliente oncológico acerca de sua experiência como portador de cateter venoso central em seu corpo, foi utilizada como abordagem metodológica uma aproximação ao método fenomenológico com base no pensamento de Merleau-Ponty. Os sentimentos apreendidos, após a redução fenomenológica foram agrupados em apenas uma única categoria de análise Segurança proporcionada pelo conforto e alívio com a presença do cateter suavizando o tratamento. As conclusões do estudo revelaram que o cliente oncológico apesar de sentir muitas dificuldades para aceitar inicialmente o uso do cateter, se convence de que o uso do dispositivo irá lhes favorecer em muitos aspectos do tratamento e descobrem enfim que valeu a pena terem se submetido a tal procedimento, procurando se adaptar ao uso do mesmo, tomando a convivência mais facilitada para si

ABSTRACT

This study boards the interesting in apprehending the perception that the oncological c1ient has in relation to the presence of a central venous catheter in his (her) body. The mains of the work were 1) Identify the c1ient perception in front of his (her) experience in living together with a central venous catheter in his (her) body; 2) Analyze the client perception manifested in the experience of using a central venous catheter in his (her) body; 3) Contribute to the nursing practice from the perceptions observed. For the study realization, whose object was the perception of the oncological client about his (her) experience as user a central venous catheter in his (her) body, it was used as methodological approach a approximation to the phenomenology based on Merleau - Ponty's thought. The apprehended feelings, after the phenomenological reduction were grouped in only a single category of analyze Security provided by the comfort and relief with the presence o/ the catheter softening the treatment. The conclusions of the study revealed that the oncological client despite feeling many difficulties for accepting initially the use of the catheter, convinces that the use of the catheter will favored him (her) in many aspects of the treatment and discover that at last it was valuable that they had been submitted to such procedure, trying to adapt to the use of the same
