RESUMO
A pesquisa relatada teve por objetivo compreender a articulação entre uma escola municipal de ensino fundamental situada na periferia de São Paulo e grupos de jovens que desenvolvem um trabalho de divulgação da cultura local por meio de oficinas de literatura marginal. Foram feitas observações participantes; encontros com gestores, educadores e com o responsável pelas oficinas; e uma entrevista reflexiva com os alunos. O fenômeno da articulação mostrou-se como importante ação educativa à medida que aproximou os alunos da literatura, ajudou-os a tomarem consciência de sua participação na sociedade e a perceberem o conhecimento como ferramenta para transformação social. O jovem responsável pelas oficinas também se transformou ao descobrir-se educador. As mudanças ocorridas no nível individual repercutiram positivamente nas duas comunidades envolvidas no projeto escola e bairro (coletivos).(AU)
ABSTRACT
This research aimed at understanding the articulation between a public elementary school on the outskirts of São Paulo and groups of young people who develop a work of divulgation of the local culture through workshops of marginal literature. The research involved participant observations; meetings with the managers, educators, and the responsible for the workshops; and a reflexive interview with the students. The phenomenon of articulation revealed itself as an important educational action insofar it brought the students to the Literature it helped them to be aware of their role in society, and to realize knowledge as a tool of social transformation. The young person in charge of the workshops was also transformed when he found himself as an educator. The changes occurred in the individual level have positively had repercussions in both communities involved in the project the school and the neighborhood (collectives).(AU)
