Reflexões sobre espaço de moradia para idosos e Políticas Públicas / Reflections on space of housing for elderly and Public Policy

RESUMO

Este artigo baseia-se na pesquisa "A atuação do estagiário de fisioterapia no atendimento ao idoso institucionalizado", abordando os aspectos bio-psíquico-social do envelhecimento humano e alguns fatores que conduzem à institucionalização dos idosos. Relata também o relacionamento dos estagiários de fisioterapia que prestam atendimento em ILPI (Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos). Diante do aumento da expectativa de vida das pessoas, faz-se necessário a identificação e discussões dos problemas de moradia junto à sociedade, visando alternativas e soluções. Através de depoimentos de idosos, verificamos a diversidade de situações de envelhecimento que demandam atenção parcial, integral ou internação, de acordo com sua condição física e intelectual, a fim de que se mantenha sua dignidade.

ABSTRACT

This article is based on research, "The performance of the trainee physiotherapy in the care of institutionalized elderly", addressing the bio-psycho-aspects of human aging and social factors that lead to the institutionalization of the elderly. He also reports the relationship of physical therapy interns who provide care in LTCF (Long Stay Institution for Aged). Faced with increased life expectancy of people, it is necessary to the identification and discussion of housing problems in the society seeking alternatives and solutions. Through testimonies of the elderly, we find the diversity of aging situations that demand attention partial or full hospitalization according to their physical and intellectual, while maintaining their dignity.
