Padrões florísticos em dois tipos de florestas estacionais no cerrado / Floristic patterns on two seasonal forests types in the cerrado

RESUMO

São raros os estudos comparativos que abordam as semelhanças e/ou diferenças florísticas entre as florestas estacionais deciduais (FDs) e as florestas estacionais semideciduais (FSs) no bioma Cerrado. Na região do Triângulo Mineiro, oeste de Minas Gerais, as duas fitofisionomias foram estudadas com intuito de responder se existe um padrão de riqueza e composição florística que determina os diferentes tipos de florestas estacionais. Foram considerados os resultados de duas análises a primeira local, onde selecionamos dois fragmentos muito próximos em que foram realizados inventários padronizados da vegetação e, a outra através de dados de inventários já existentes na região (meta-análise). Os resultados demonstraram que as duas fitofisionomias possuíram fortes divergências quanto à riqueza e composição florística nos três níveis taxonômicos avaliados e para as espécies mais representativas. O estudo buscou chamar a atenção para a importância de estudos florísticos para distinguir as florestas estacionais no Cerrado e nos outros biomas no Brasil.

ABSTRACT

Comparative studies regarding the floristic similarities and/or differences between deciduous and semideciduous seasonal forests in the Cerrado biome are rare. In the west of Minas Gerais (Triângulo Mineiro region), the two phytophysiognomies were studied in order to answer the following question Is there a richness pattern and floristic composition that determines the different types of seasonal forest? To answer the question, we considered the results of two analyses Field work on two neighbouring forest fragments with similar environmental conditions, where standardized inventories of the vegetation were made, and data analyses of existing regional inventories (meta-analysis). The results showed that the two phytophysiognomies diverge significantly with regard to richness, composition in the three evaluated taxonomic levels and their indicative species. We call attention to the importance of comparative floristic studies to distinguish seasonal forests of the Cerrado and others brazilian biomes.
