RESUMEN

Resumen La valoración geriátrica integral (VGI) es un instrumento gue permite, dentro de la valoración clínica del paciente adulto mayor, integrar los conocimientos de las esferas clínicas, psicológicas, mentales y sociales, lo gue faculta el obtener una visión amplia y clara del contexto en gue se encuentra el paciente, facilita el diagnóstico no solo de entidades patológicas habituales, sino también el integrar a los síndromes geriátricos, lo gue facilita la distribución de tareas en un equipo multidisciplinario de atención al anciano y da una visión clara de los objetivos del manejo con la intención de otorgar mejor calidad de vida. Se presentan algunos test de los más utilizados, gue ayudan a lograr la valoración de la persona adulta mayor.

Abstract The comprehensive geriatric assessment isan instrument that allows the integration of knowledge in the clinical, psychological, mental and social spheres within the clinical evaluation of the older adult patient, allowing a broad and clear view of the context of the patient's situation, It facilitates not only the diagnosis of the usual pathological entities but it also integrates the geriatric syndromes, facilitating the distribution of tasks in a multidisciplinary team. It provides a clear vision of the objectives involved in the management intended in giving thema higher guality of life. We present the most utilized tests that help achieve the assessment of the older adult.
