RESUMO
Atualmente cerca de 19% da população total possui 65+ anos. Em comparação com a década anterior, o peso destes indivíduos traduz um crescimento de 19%, o qual tenderá a acentuar-se nas próximas décadas conforme revelam as projeções demográficas. O presente artigo propõe analisar tendências recentes e alguns problemas sobre o envelhecimento ativo em Portugal a orientação gerontológica do envelhecimento ativo, bem como a tendência de prolongamento da vida ativa e desdobramentos no contexto da reforma (aposentadoria).
ABSTRACT
Currently about 19% of the total population has more than 65 years. Compared to the last decade, the weigth of these individuals represents a growth of 19%, which will tend to grow in the coming decades as shown by demographic projections. This article aims to analyze recent trends and some problems on active aging in Portugal gerontological orientation about active aging, as well as the propensity of increasing the working life and developments in the context of retirement.
