Intervenção fisioterapêutica em creche da rede municipal de Petrópolis - Rio de Janeiro / Intervention through physiotherapy in municipal kindergartens in Petrópolis, Brazil

RESUMO

Este artigo tem como objetivo avaliar os ganhos cognitivos motor após intervenção preventiva fisioterapêutica em crianças de seis creches que atendem à população de baixa renda do município de Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, no ano de 2016, organizadas em grupo controle e intervenção, em uma metodologia quase-experimental, com crianças de seis a 12 meses de idade, durante 40 dias. O grupo intervenção teve sessões individuais de fisioterapia com duração de 15 minutos. O grupo controle seguiu a rotina da creche. As crianças foram avaliadas pelo teste Denver em pré-teste e pós-teste. No teste preliminar, os resultados apontaram uma homogeneidade no atraso motor nos dois grupos principalmente no item linguagem (70%), que se modifica no grupo intervenção no pós­teste com 100% de ganho e o aparecimento de piora no pós­teste do grupo controle (84,6%), demonstrando a necessidade de desenvolver atitudes promotoras de estimulação cognitivo motor.

ABSTRACT

Cognitive motor improvements were assessed after preventive physiotherapy intervention in children from six kindergartens that care for low-income populations in the municipality of Petrópolis RJ Brazil, in 2016. Children between 6 and 12 months were organized in control and intervention groups during 40 days and evaluated by a quase-experimental method. Intervention group had individual physiotherapy sessions during 15 min. Control group followed kindergarten´s routine. Children were evaluated by pre- and post-Denver tests. Results in the preliminary test showed homogeneity in motor delay in the two groups, especially language (70%), which was modified in the intervention group during the post-test, with 100% improvement and a worsening in the post-test of the control group (84.6%). Results showed the need to develop promotional attitudes in motor cognition stimulation.
