"Troca de cartas entre gerações": Projeto gerontológico intergeracional realizado em uma ILPI de São Paulo / "Exchange of letters between generations": Gerontological intergenerational project, carried out in a elderly long-term institution of São Paulo

RESUMO

O trabalho promoveu uma ação gerontológica por meio de cartas anônimas que proporcionaram vínculo intergeracional entre idosos institucionalizados e estudantes do ensino médio. Permitiu a inclusão da pessoa idosa, visando ao impacto positivo sobre seu estado de depressão, e proporcionou promoção positiva sobre o envelhecimento aos estudantes. A intervenção mostrou a possibilidade de idosos estabelecerem vínculos com jovens estudantes, refletindo em seu senso de pertencimento, autoeficácia e melhor autoestima.

ABSTRACT

The work promoted a gerontological action through anonymous letters that provided intergenerational link between institutionalized elderly and high school students. Allowed the inclusion of the elderly aiming positive impact on their depression and provided positive promotion on aging to the students. The intervention showed the possibility to establish links between the elderly and the young students, improving their sense of belonging, self-efficacy and better selfesteem.
