RESUMO
Objetivo:
Analisar o gasto médio anual por paciente de acidente vascular cerebral em período ambulatorial pelo sistema público.Métodos:
Trata-se de um estudo transversal e quantitativo, composto por uma amostra de 95 pacientes usuários do Sistema Único de Saúde de uma sede de macrorregião de saúde de Minas Gerais. Um questionário foi aplicado entre setembro e outubro de 014 e a partir dele foram estimados os gastos médios anuais, por paciente, do acidente vascular cerebral em fase ambulatorial. Uma análise bivariada e multivariada foi realizada para identificar a influência das variáveis nos gastos.Resultados:
O sistema público brasileiro gasta em média por no com pacientes acometidos por acidente vascular cerebral U$ 305.18 (DP = 185.46) em gastos diretos e U$ 2,456.80 (DP = 2,945.20) em gastos indiretos por paciente em período ambulatorial.Conclusões:
Os gastos públicos com pacientes de acidente vascular cerebral na fase ambulatorial variaram em função dos gastos indiretos e foram mais elevados em pacientes que sofreram a lesão precocemente, que estiveram em tratamento há mais tempo no sistema público e que perderam a sua produtividade econômica devido à doença, onerando principalmente a previdência social.ABSTRACT
Objective:
To analyze the mean annual cost per year and per patient of stroke in outpatient period by the public system.Methods:
The cross-section and quantitative research was consisted by 95 patients from Health Public System in Minas Gerais/Brazil. A questionnaire was applied between September and October of 2014 and from it was estimated the mean annual cost, per patient, of stroke in outpatient period.Results:
The Brazilian public system spends, by stroke per year, on average, U$ 305.18 (DP = 185.46) in direct costs and U$ 2,456.80 (DP = 2,945.20) in indirect costs per patient.Conclusions:
The public costs of outpatient stroke varied according to indirect costs and they were higher in patients who suffered the injury early, who were in treatment for longer in the public system and who have lost their income due to illness, overloading social security.
