La escuela como espacio de formación y prevención en el uso indebido de alcohol en adolescentes

RESUMEN

El aumento en el consumo de sustancias adictivas, entre ellas el alcohol, en la población infantil y juvenil, ha obligado a hacer un llamado a la sociedad y a los gobiernos de todos los niveles para llevar a cabo acciones que favorezcan la construcción de ambientes saludables y libres de adicciones. Los resultados de las investigaciones ante esta situación compleja demandan un manejo integral donde todos nos convertimos en actores responsables de revertir el problema del uso y abuso de sustancias. Es por ello, que las comunidades escolares no pueden permanecer al margen de la atención a problemáticas que, por su gravedad, representan un riesgo de nivel considerable para los adolescentes que cursan educación básica. Debiendo garantizar que los alumnos aprendan en un ambiente sano, seguro, confiable y libre de violencia, en donde el respeto a la dignidad y los derechos de las personas sea el principio rector de la convivencia y la organización escolar. Motivado por la necesidad de intentar aportar información sobre el consumo indebido de alcohol, propongo efectuar una investigación que permita precisar cuáles son las posibilidades de reforzar en Instituciones Educativas Polimodales, en este caso en particular en la Escuela IPET 258 (Mayor Ingeniero Francisco de Arteaga), dentro del programa que comprende el Proyecto Educativo Institucional de la misma, contenidos educativos relativos a la referida temática, que luego puedan ser transmitidos mediante el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje, a la población educativa – estudiantil, que asiste a la misma; a la comunidad educativa, para reforzar los conocimientos que luego en su rol de educadores han de transmitir; y a la estudiantil, porque al tratarse de adolescentes, son ellos justamente uno de los sectores de la sociedad, a mi entender, más vulnerable a las adicciones, los cuales deben estar preparados para su inserción en la sociedad

ABSTRACT Te increased consumption of addictive substances, such as alcohol in children and teenagers, has forced to the governments and the society to carry out actions that help the society to be more healthy and free of addictions. The results of the investigations indicate that this social complex situation demands a comprehensive management where we all become responsible actors to reverse the problem of use and abuse of addictive substance. In this sense, the School, as and educative institution cannot remain outside this social problem that represents a risk for the children and teenagers enrolled in the school. The School must ensure that students learn in healthy environments, free and safe from violence, where the respect for the rights and dignity of people are the guiding principles for the school organization. In this study, it was made an inquest to the students, most of them teenagers, and professors from the IPET 258 School (Mayor Ingeniero Francisco de Arteaga) to get information about alcohol consumption as a tool to strengthening educational contents relating to this social problem. The educational community has the role to transmit knowledgement about this addiction problem that is why it is important to bring them helpful tools to teach and alert students about the alcoholism. The obtained information in the inquest can be transmitted by teaching first to the professors who must then transfer to the student. The students, who will receive the information, are the most vulnerable to alcoholism while they get into the society that is why they are of most concern in this study
