ABSTRACT
Elderly patients often undergo different geriatric syndromes, including, sarcopenia, which tends to have significant underdiagnoses due to a lack of awareness of its causes and prevalence. We report the case of a 75 year old patient without relevant medical history, with clinical symptoms of weight loss and physical performance during several months. Low muscle mass was found in DXA test and osteopenia. No other abnormalities in laboratory tests were found. Primary sarcopenia (age-related) is diagnosed.
