RESUMEN
La fractura de dientes ha sido descrita como un problema importante en odontología, y es la tercera causa más común de la pérdida de dientes después de la caries dental y la enfermedad periodontal; la pérdida de la estructura dental es un factor importante que disminuye la resistencia a la fractura. Las restauraciones de grandes defectos siguen siendo un problema clínico, para ello varios materiales y técnicas han surgido para aumentar la resistencia y la estabilidad del diente / restauración. ABSTRACT
Fracture of teeth has been described as an important problem in dentistry, and is the third most common cause of tooth loss after dental caries and periodontal disease; loss of tooth structure is an important factor that decreases the fracture toughness.
