ABSTRACT
48 Albino rats were classified into 4 equal groups. The 1st group received subcutaneous insulin, the second received intraperitoneal acetyl salicylic acid, the third group received both insulin and acetyl salicylic acid simultaneously. The fourth group was injected with distilled water and served as control. Animals were sacrificed and blood samples were collected 30 minutes and 60 minutes after injection. Total serum thyroxine and blood glucose levels were estimated. The results were analysed and the response of the adrenal gland and the thyroid gland to stress hypoglycaemia was evaluated
