Thermal-conductometric studies on copper [II] chelates of 8-amino quinoline

ABSTRACT
Four different complexes of copper [II] - 8-aminoquinoline [L] were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, molar conductance and thermogravimetric analysis [TG]. The solid complexes were subjected to thermal analysis [DTG and DTA] and electrical conductivity measurement. The activation energy for conduction [delta E] was calculated and discussed with respect to the likely conduction mechanisms. Finally, a thermal method for the preparation of the inner-complex Cu [L-H]2 in the pure state has been proposed
