ABSTRACT
A total number of 22 adult male Wistar albino rats of average weight 400 g were used in this study. They exposed to traumatic occlusion to the left side for one week duration. Drugs injection started after one week from trauma as daily injection by intramuscular route with Feldene, Surgam and Orudis. From the results obtained, it was concluded that the effect of NSAIDs on the cartilage of TMJ have been assessed in experimental systems to evaluate, which group were more effective and the choice in between groups would be more specific. Drugs that had atoxic effect on chondrocytes and theoretically damaging were the Orudis. Surgam could be considered prior to Feldene in the lesser effect on cartilage based on the experimental
