ABSTRACT
The results concluded that there is a competitive inhibition between [omeprazole] and secretin or insulin at the receptor site, interference of omeprazole with the activity of adenylate cyclase enzyme and therefore, blocking formation of cAMP, so interferes with the section of secretion hormone and inhibition of ATPase enzyme activity of omeprazole specially Na+-H+ ATPase for secretin action or Na+-K+ ATPase for insulin action. Therefore, further investigations are needed to clarify the subcellular mechanisms of omeprazole which are responsible for its inhibitory action on stimulated exocrine pancreatic secretion
