It is more common during cold months. The sensitivity and specificity of Acridine orange are [98.3% and 100%], latex agglutination test, 92.2% and 100% coagulatination test are [87.9% and 75.0%]. From this work, it can be concluded that combination of classical cultural methods with acridine orange stain, latex agglutination or coaggultination test is of high diagnostic value
