ABSTRACT
The present objective is to study the efficiency of ivomec pour-on in sheep for the first time to control both gastrointestinal nematode as well as Sarcoptic ovis infestations. The new formulation of ivomec is applied on the mid-dorsal line of the back of the animal in a dose of 1 mg/10 kg body weight [ivermectin 5 mg/ml]. Twenty eight sheep [1-3 years old] were investigated at different time intervals [14, 28 and 42 days]. The gastrointestinal nematodes are completely eliminated on 14th day after dosing application. Cure rate percentage for Sarcoptic ovis were 88.9 and 100% at fourth and sixth week respectively
