ABSTRACT
Skin samples from 240 Raieni cashmere goats at different ages [3 months to 3 years] were taken from the right mid side of each goat. Least square means of primary follicle density [PF/mm[2]], secondary follicle density [PF/mm[2]] and ratio of secondary to primary follicles [SF/PF] were estimated to be 1.950 [ +/- 0.045] follicles / mm[2], 23.291[ +/- 1.044] follicles /mm[2] and 13.138[ +/- 1.058] respectively. Heritability of primary follicle density secondary follicle density and ratio of secondary to primary follicles were estimated to be 0.0[-] 0.221[ +/- 0.329] and 0.465[ +/- 0.331], respectively
