ABSTRACT
One thousand consecutive patients with vitreous opacities were examined in the Ultrasonography Division at the King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital, Riyadh. Of the patients, 662 had degenerative vitreous diseases and 338 had vitreous pathologies. The degenerative vitreous diseases included two groups [1] vitreous floaters and [2] asteroid hyalosis. Patients with vitreous pathologies had the following vitreous hemorrhages, subhyaloid hemorrhages, vitritis, and endophthalmitis. A and B scan echographic analysis is discussed with correlation as to histopathologic appearance
