ABSTRACT
It is well know that acupuncture with a needle is a potential cause of facial nerve injury, while total deafness following Chinese acupuncture is not generally known, a case is presented where both occured. In spite of the conventional management given no improvement occurred. It is advisable to acquire sufficient anatomical and pathological knowledge before embarking on a potentially hazardous process of needling the ear
