ABSTRACT
Thirty patients [female to male ratio 31] with cutaneous hemangioma were the subject of this study. Twenty-seven patients were under the age of one year. The most common site was the head and neck. The hemangioma was cavernous in 14 patients, capillary in 12, mixed in 3 and cirsoid in one patient. Intra-lesional injection of corticosteroid was used for treatment of hemangioma, it gave definite effect in 86% of cavernous hemangioma, while it showed no effect in 92% of capillary cases. Side effects of intra lesional corticosteroids are minimal compared to systemic corticosteroids
