ABSTRACT
The study demonstrated that the metabolic activities of the gastroduodenal mucosal cells are impaired in undialized chronic renal failure patients and to a less extent in hemodialysis patient, as evidenced by weak alkaline phosphatase, succinic dehydrogenase and alpha esterase enzyme activities. In the same time autolytic activities are increased in undialyzed patients and to a less extent in hemodialysis patients, as evidenced by increased acid phosphatase activity in the gastroduodenal mucosa in these patients
