Autologous blood patch pleurodesis in spontaneous pneumothorax for prevention of recurrence

ABSTRACT

This study included 10 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax due to different causes. The diagnosis reached through clinical and radiological examination. Tube thoracostomy was done for all patients followed by pleurodesis using 50 ml of the patients' own blood. Recurrence occurred in one patient and fever was the only complications met with in two patients
