A record of a rare case of umbilical endometrioma in which the presenting feature was episodic dyspepsia recurring with every menestruation. This case was diagnosed clinically and cured by operative excision. A discussion on the etiology and pathology of endcmetriosis is included. The first case of endometriosis of the umbilicus in Alexandria University hospitals was diagnosed clinically, treated and confirmed by excision biopsy.
