Empyemas complicating Listeria monocytogenes meningitis is a rare event in immunocompetent children, beyond the neonatal period. We report a case of Listeria monocytogenes meningitis in a 15-month-old-girl. Magnetic resonance imaging showed subdural empyemas. Specific treatment was established with ampicillin for six weeks.
