In recent years Recombinant Factor VIIa [rFVIIa] has been used off-licence for the treatment of severe coagulopathies associated with postpartum hemorrhage [PPH]. This literature review aims to summarize the scientific knowledge about the role of rFVIIa in obstetric hemorrhage, identifying, comparing, contrasting and synthesizing the available data.
