Objectives:

The rehabilitation of resorbed edentulous mandibles with conventional complete dentures can be a challenge due to presence of unfavourable local factors. This necessitates accurate diagnosis and knowledge of local anatomy, physiology and pathology as well as knowledge of the relative prognostic difficulties involved in the treatment. The aim of this study is to assess the type and location of unfavorable clinical findings in mandibular complete denture supporting tissues in patients reporting to the Prosthodontics Department, Dental Section, Bacha Khan Medical College [BMC], Mardan, Pakistan
