ABSTRACT

Background:

Discharge of colored sewages, resulting from domestic and industrial wastewaters, results in eutrophication, coloring and hypoxia of waters. Furthermore, colors have mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. This study aimed to investigate the removal rate of acid black 1 dye from aqueous solution using nano-iron particles.
