Gliomas are the most common primary brain tumors, and have been ranked as the fourth leading cause of cancer death. Tumor mesenchymal-like stem cells [tMSCs] contribute to the aggressive behavior of glial tumors by providing a favorable microenvironment for the malignant cells.
