ABSTRACT
Background:
Cardiovascular diseases [CVD] is the leading cause of death in patients with type 2 diabetes accounting for 50-70% of all deaths [Berryet al., 2007] and it is believed that in 2020 CVD over-run infectious diseases and cancer to become the leading cause of death and disability, so the evidence is accumulating in favor of a wider use of several novel biomarkers in CVD [Dotsenko et al., 2007]
