Early miscarriges related to rubella infections in woman of reproductive age group

ABSTRACT

Rubella is a highly contagious viral disease, spread through contact with discharges from the nose and throat of an infected person. For women who are not immune, rubella infection during pregnancy poses a high risk of congenital birth defects and miscarriages or stillbirths. Researches show that infection during the first trimester carries an 85% risk of birth defects.
