thyrotoxicosis is a hypermetabolic state due to excessive amounts of thyroid hormone in the circulation. There are several causes and the worst presentation is a thyroid storm, which is an endocrinal emergency. Clinically, thyrotoxicosis can present vaguely leading to misdiagnosis and mismanagement
