Background:

Hydronephrosis is the most common abnormal finding in the urinary tract during prenatal ultrasonography screening. It is important to differentiate between obstructive and physiologic hydronephrosis because obstructive pathology may lead to recurrent urinary tract infection and end stage renal disease
