Successful conservative treatment of type 3 injury [ductal injury] developing after ERCP

ABSTRACT

Although endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography [ERCP] is considered a safe procedure, it is associated with complications such as pancreatitis, bleeding and perforation of the bile duct, pancreatic duct and duodenum. In recent years, successful conservative treatment in selected patients with complications have increased.
