DIC is one of the most threatening coagulopathies in ICU.It is accompanied with high mortality rates in ICU.Early diagnosis of DIC is very important for early intervention for better prognosis.DIC is caused by several pathologies like sepsis, trauma, obstetric causes and malignancies
