Mitomycin-C and Co2 laser cordectomy

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted on 19 patients with bilateral abductor paralysis. They were divided into 2 groups. In group A [9 patients], posterior cortectomy with Co2 laser was done. In-group B [10 patients], mitomycin c [MMC] was applied locally at the site of cortectomy. The recurrence rate of stridor was about 55.5% in-group A and 10% in-group B, after following the patients for one year. The resu1ts encourages the use of MMC with posterior cortectomy to improve it's results:
