Rheumatoid arthritis [RA] is a chronic progressive inflammatory disorder characterized by polyarthritis in association with various systemic symptoms. Nitric oxide [NO] production is increased in serum and synovial fluid of rheumatoid arthritis patients and may be involved in the inflammatory process.
