ABSTRACT

Hereditary spherocytosis, or Minkowski-Chauffard disease, is a constitutional anomaly of red blood cell that loses its elasticity and becomes brittle to mechanical stress, thus promoting its early destruction and causing an hemolytic anemia. This observation is about a 40-year-old patient hospitalized for acute renal failure revealing an hereditary spherocytosis
