ABSTRACT

Background:

Personnel of military forces have close contact with the environment and can be bitten by insects and exposed to the related diseases, more than other people. The importance of Culex mosquitoes for mankind is in fact, its biting and nuisance, especially at sleeping time. In recent years, great progresses have been occurred in protecting people, especially military personnel, against arthropod bites and vector-borne disease, using treating clothes with permethrin. In this study, the protection of permethrin-treated military uniformsagainst 3 species of Culex in a rural field of Iran has been examined
