ABSTRACT
Background:
During upper mediastinal surgical interventions, innominate vessels may be ruptured inadvertently or divided intentionally by the surgeon for a better exposure. The question, whether a divided innominate artery or vein should be reconstructed or not, has not yet been clearly answered
