Coagulation parameters in full-term normal pregnancy during labour

ABSTRACT

A study of coagulation parameters in 50 cases of normal full-term pregnancy, during labour is presented. A significant shortening of prothrombin time [P.T.], Kaolin-activated partial thromboplastin time [A.P.T.T.] and thrombin time [T.T.], along with a rise is plasma fibrinogen level was observed. This study provides reference values of P.T., A.P.T.T, T.T. and plasma fibrinogen level in normal, full-term pregnancy
