ABSTRACT
Silicons represents an organosilicone polymer, which is an inert compound compatible with organic materials. It is available in both solid and liquid forms. We describe the chemistry and the physical properties of silicone polymers, their applications in the management of glaucoma, oculoplastic conditions, complicated retinal detachment, and in the manufacture of optical lenses
